Mission Statement
To support the management of invasive exotic plants in the Northern Rocky Mountain states by providing a forum for the exchange of scientific, educational and technical information.
Purpose and Goals
The Northern Rockies Invasive Plants Council (NRIPC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to support the management of invasive exotic plants in the northern Rocky Mountain states by providing a forum for the exchange of scientific, educational and technical information.
The NRIPC is part of the National Association of Invasive Plant Councils (NAIPC). The NAIPC is a coalition of state and regional Exotic Pest Plant Councils (EPPCs) and Invasive Plant Councils (IPCs) representing professional natural resource managers, scientists and others with an interest in invasive plant management.
To support the management of invasive exotic plants in the Northern Rocky Mountain states by providing a forum for the exchange of scientific, educational and technical information.
Purpose and Goals
- To provide a focus for issues and concerns regarding exotic pest plants in native plant communities of the Northern Rockies;
- To facilitate communication and the exchange of information with all interested parties regarding any and all aspects of exotic pest plant control and management;
- To provide a forum where all interested parties may participate in meetings and share in the benefits from the information generated by this Council;
- To promote public understanding regarding exotic pest plants and their control;
- To serve as an advisory council regarding funding, research, management, and control of exotic pest plants;
- To facilitate action campaigns to monitor and control exotic pest plants that impact native plant communities in the Northern Rockies;
- To review incipient and potential pest plant management problems and activities and provide relevant information to interested parties.
